Dr Siôn Cave is the Head of the Analytics + Foresight Hub at Decision Analysis Services (DAS), an independent management consultancy with offices across the UK and Australia.

The Analytics + Foresight Hub is DAS’s centre of expertise for systems modelling, data science, and futures analysis. In this session, Siôn will present two consultancy projects that demonstrate how these techniques are applied to strategic decision-making.

The first, Wireless 2030, explored future visions for next-generation wireless technologies using a combination of qualitative and quantitative futures methods.

The second project involved the development of a quantitative systems model for the Health Foundation, designed to project the future supply of nurses in England and evaluate the impact of alternative policy options.
